Physical Requirements
This person will be working with young children, some of who might weigh more than 40 lbs. This job requires the ability to get up and down from the floor and do light housekeeping throughout the day (taking out trash, sweeping up spills, etc.)

Shift
Monday – Friday; 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Job Summary
This position is located on campus at the Early Childhood Lab (ECL) at 621 South Limestone. The Early Childhood Laboratory Assistant Teacher position entails working with children birth to 5 years with and without disabilities. The teacher will assist the head teacher in planning, implementing and evaluating curriculum based on assessment information gathered on each child, and in accordance with the philosophy of the ECL. Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education (IECE) faculty, and families of children in classroom. Participate in regular professional development and maintain all required certificates for working in a licensed, accredited childcare program.

This position requires the employee to hold current certificates in CPR and First Aid and a negative TB test on file at all times.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
CPR and 1st Aid certification; and Negative TB skin test.
