ABOUT THE PROGRAM
ParentCare Family Recovery Services are designed to support chemically dependent women and their families who are at high risk for child abuse, domestic violence and homelessness. The majority of women in treatment also have a dual psychiatric diagnosis and a host of physical health related issues. As a local leader in the development of family-centered recovery services, ParentCare makes a significant difference in preventing child abuse and reducing perinatal drug and alcohol exposure. It also plays a critical partnership role with County Child Welfare Services, drug and family courts, local hospitals and community collaboratives in order to ensure the utmost level of comprehensive care for these women and their families.
THE POSITION
Under General supervision the Teacher position is responsible for providing high quality effective developmental and educational consulting services to children and their parents. The Teacher position provides support to the program’s Teacher Aids and volunteer staffs as needed. An example of other tasks includes:

· Must be able to physically assist children with mobility issues and care needs.
· Any field work portion of the job may require driving.
· Maintains staff records.
· Ensure compliance with relevant laws and Department of Education requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in early childhood is preferred, 24 units early childhood development, child development, education, counseling or related field required.
· Minimum of 2 years teaching experience with preschool or early intervention program required.
· Must have a valid California driver’s license and clean driving record.
· Must pass pre-employment background check, TB test and drug screening, meet COVID vaccine requirements.
HOURS
Part time position: 30 hours
Monday - Friday
PAY
$17.00 per hour
These are starting rates and may be adjusted upwards based on education & experience.
BENEFITS
This position receives employer-paid benefits, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off (vacation and sick leave), paid holidays, and employer-paid pension.
