Assist the special education teacher with development and implementation of lesson plans. Supervise students and provide learning support and guidance. Develop meaningful relationships with students. Must have strong communication skills, as you will be expected to interact with colleagues, parents, and students Understanding and attentive to student needs, and have a passion for the early education field. You will assist with teaching independent dressing skills, structured activities, assist with snacks/feeding, implements educational and therapeutic goals set forth by the IEP plans. EXPERIENCE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS PRESCHOOL POPULATION A PLUS.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have HS Diploma/GED and NYS Teacher Assistant Certification; experience working in a classroom environment with special needs population strongly preferred
