Position Title: Supply Chain Planner

Duties: Work with sales and finance teams within the sales and operations planning process to arrive at a cohesive demand plan and outlook for short, medium, and long-term sales plan. Manage global finished goods inventory and safety stock. Make the fulfillment experience a delight for customers. Create dashboards to analyze forecasting errors and month over month, year over year changes. Test new forecasting models and implement solutions to improve forecasting accuracy. Provide ad-hoc support and data analyses to teams across the organization as needed. Take the demand plan, production capacity, inventory levels, and other factors as inputs to calculate a production plan that allows us to maintain our target inventory levels. Use statistical analysis to set target stock levels by SKU given supply and demand variability and lead-time. Conduct inventory analysis, deriving and measuring Key performance indicators (KPI), and maintaining SLAs. Write specifications and requirements and quote a variety of solutions. Write processes and standard work to support consistent performance of planning activities and align expectations across teams and team members. 40% telecommuting allowed from the area of intended employment. Employee will report to our office in Somerville, MA.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree or a foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research, or a related field of study and three years of experience in the job offered, supply chain, or related occupation. Must have one year of experience in each of the following skills: managing supply chains across many borders; understanding of supply chain KPI like inventory turns, Weeks of Inventory, fill rate, and production attainments; performing root cause analysis, 5-why analysis and Value stream Mapping; Google sheets/excel and databases (SQL); enterprise resource planning systems; pricing and revenue management; and source planning and analysis.
