Supply Chain Finance Analyst Job at Basic American Foods
As the Supply Chain Finance Analyst, responsibilities include compiling, calculating, and analyzing bean and potato grower settlements and inventory movement. This includes providing key analytical support relative to continuous improvement, business growth strategies, and investment opportunities and initiatives. In addition, you will be supporting plant accounting and analytics. You will also be a key member in the monthly and yearly closing procedures. Building and maintaining finance/business relationships to provide key insights to the business will be vital to this role. You will supervise the hourly scale staff in both Idaho and Washington, including creating and managing the scheduling and performance criteria associated with the staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Partners with the organization to provide in-depth monthly financial and operational analysis.
- Manage supply chain accounting budgets, estimates, and actual costs for the enterprise including actual vs. budget variance analysis.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain and Raw Materials Sourcing leadership to develop, analyze, and implement strategies to minimize the total cost of ownership of raw material.
- Manage and maximize value of Idaho and Washington staff. (e.g. develop and maintain process standards between locations, utilize available time in support of non-scale operation activities, mitigate overtime, etc.)
- Supports the Continuous Improvement Team to implement tools, controls, performance indicators, and lean processes to enhance performance of the company.
- Provide freight/pallet business analytics to logistics, sales and marketing, allowing for pricing actions and cost recovery.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training is preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical analysis. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Must have strong written and oral skills, allowing them to present and communicate to senior level management and business partners
- Individual must be able to work within and lead teams to accomplish organizational goals
- Individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- ERP software and Power BI experience preferred
