Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with ongoing research in the Geiger lab.
- Tasks include, but are not limited to the following: Protein quantification Western blot Flow cytometry Confocal microscopy Cell culture Become proficient with several laboratory microscopes and other laboratory equipment Learn and master the software programs Imaris and Graphpad which are used extensively in the laboratory for results Develop data analysis by creating graphs from data collected during experiments - (Essential)
Required Competencies
- Majoring in a STEM related field
- Experience in a laboratory setting through work or education experience
Minimum Requirements
- Detailed oriented and organized
- Attentive
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Available to work through summer semester
