We are seeking a Strategy Lead who will spearhead strategic initiatives by driving and owning market analytics and help to distil them into clear calls for action for the new venture. The candidate should be capable of working with teams across hardware & software engineering, product management, and regulatory strategies. This position will report directly to the Head of Strategy & Operations. Representative strategic initiatives prior to product launch might include; market entry analysis, pricing strategy, assessing product-market fit, organizational design, refining budgets and business cases, etc.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with the Head of Strategy & Operations to help set the course of an exciting, technology-driven new business.
  • Assist in all aspects of company operations including strategy, financial planning, business operations, commercial, product, marketing, and project management.
  • Develop high quality processes to improve how Kohler Ventures operates and scales across different sub-teams in product, design, research, and operations.
  • Identify, assume ownership and manage cross-functional, strategic initiatives and projects; connect workstreams that would otherwise remain siloed.
  • Facilitate effective decision-making throughout the organization by proactively setting context, developing executive level presentations for monthly and quarterly Venture Board meetings.
  • Develop executive-level content, incl. analyses & visualizations for board meetings, to monitor performance and facilitate decision making.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.


Skills/Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience from top-tier management consulting or investment banking firm preferred.
  • Experience in a high-growth technology or consumer-facing start-up or incubator environment preferred: specifically experience with digital consumer products will be helpful.
  • Organized problem solver who is adept at applying analytical frameworks, quantitative modeling and data insights to test hypotheses, drive business decisions and achieve consensus.
  • Efficient communicator with experience in summarizing complex information into digestible & visually appealing formats and presenting these effectively.
  • Willingness and comfortable with engaging with C-suite leadership to organize and make things happen.
  • Strong leadership skills including proven track record of building, developing, and growing high-functioning teams.
  • Positive, can-do attitude with a high degree of ownership and self-motivation to drive change.
  • Marketing/Go to Market experience is a plus.
  • Language requirement: English only.
