Overview
Tecolote Research, Inc. is hiring an experienced professional to perform Strategic Communications operations for Department of Defense from the Military Space perspective.
Responsibilities
- Assist with communicating the Director’s intent/vision, and plan/coordinate/execute Directorate level organizational events
- Assist with developing/writing speeches for the Director and create/edit/ publish internal/external Media
- Develop and implement external communications, and public relation strategies for the Director’s approval
- This includes: community/media relations, conducting media surveillance (local/national media, trade/defense publications) and collecting/disseminating information, providing outreach presentations and static displays
- Support Strategic Communications planning activities
- Identify and analyze internal and external communications requirements and processes to determine the information needs of internal and external stakeholders
- Investigate and evaluate tools and methodologies involving processes, initiatives, and procedures at all levels (Directorate, SMC, HQ AFSPC, AF, DOD) required to control and transfer information among stakeholders
- Prepare reports, papers, and briefings in accordance with SMC communications policies and templates
- Computer skills and ability to work with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
- Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00/Year, DOE

Tecolote Research, Inc. is hiring an experienced professional to perform Strategic Communications operations for Department of Defense from the Military Space perspective.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience performing Military Public Affairs and/or Strategic Communications
- Master’s Degree (Bachelor’s Degree acceptable with 6 additional years’ experience)
- Excel at demonstrating initiative and have the ability to work independently with little supervision
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
