Physical Requirements
This position requires regularly sitting for extended periods of time in an educational setting. With clinical opportunities that may the need to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds on a daily basis, as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The conditions of work may involve exposure to communicable diseases and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.

- Monday and Wednesday – class meets from 4:30 – 8:30 pm.
- Friday – class meets from 9:00 am-3:30 pm.
Additional hours may be scheduled based on program requirements.
Job Summary
This is an 8-10 week program that will allow individuals to be paid while attending classes to receive their SRNA certification. The program will begin in early February 2023.
The SRNA training course will be facilitated by Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) with classes on either Monday/Wednesday from 4:30 – 8:30 pm or Friday 9:00 am-3:30 pm. Additional hours may be scheduled by UK HealthCare outside of class times based on program requirements.
In addition to SRNA classes and observations, this program may also include orientation and professional development opportunities.
For individuals who complete and successfully pass the SRNA certification, the goal will be for these individuals to be hired into full-time healthcare positions at UK HealthCare.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
The ideal candidate will be compassionate, honest, trustworthy, and have a strong work ethic. Must enjoy working in a team and be able to communicate effectively. In addition, must be confident and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Candidate will also need strong organizational, prioritization, basic computer navigation skills, and a working knowledge of the Internet.
