Purpose of Position

Interviews are expected to be conducted within two (2) weeks of closing date.

Why does the job exist?

Conducts confidential interviews in a professional manner and prepares investigative reports within required time frames. Incident Management maintain accurate and detailed compliance tracking, reporting and trending for facility.

How does it get done?

Lead Investigator for all allegations, internal reviews, and maintains complete investigation files while abiding by set timelines for compliance. Incident Management Coordinator ensures that standardized procedures and methods are used in analysis, reporting, and ongoing creation and management of documents. Provides effective communication and viability of incident tracking and internal investigations; with the ability to prioritize as incidents or investigations are received based on needed response.

Who are the customers?

Our facility is a secure facility which serves the needs of adolescent males ages 13-17 with a history of violence and aggression; customers are residents, staff, and both internal and external reporting divisions/agencies.

Ideal Candidate

Will have:
Experience conducting investigations;
Proficient with computer/ applications;
Tracking and Reporting of incidents/investigations.

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Criminology or other related field and two (2) years of experience in accounting, auditing and investigation, or insurance adjusting and investigating or investigative report writing. Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification within six (6) months of date of hire as a condition of continued employment.Preference will be given to applicants with an ability to speak, read, and write Spanish.

Working Conditions

State of New Mexico employees may be impacted by the Public Health Order dated August 12, 2022, which requires facilities licensed or certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ("CMS"), including all hospital types, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, hospice facilities and rehabilitation facilities, as well as assisted living facilities and adult day care settings, to adhere to all COVID-related requirements prescribed by CMS, including, but not limited to masking and staff vaccination.

In addition, employees working in State correctional facilities who have the potential for direct or indirect exposure to inmates are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
