As a member of the North America commercial team and extended management team, the SVP C-Store / Retail is responsible for directing and planning all aspects of the local commercial strategy within the industry. The SVP will oversee and be responsible for the local activities and budget related to the C-Store / Retail industry, including campaigns and tradeshows, for all three brands (Curtis, Schaerer, WMF) while working in close collaboration with other functions as necessary.
In addition, the SVP will be responsible for overseeing the sales team activities in order to deliver a maximum market share and customer retention while ensuring a high customer satisfaction. Other duties include participating in market research and analysis to support further development of the go-to-market strategy.
Essential Functions
Responsibilities (General)
- Actively participate in and provide strategic perspective to the leadership team.
- Ensure organizational talent management objectives are achieved including employee development plans, development of organizational bench strength, and performance management processes.
- Development of sales budget and management of KPIs within the plan.
- Monitor market share and segment development to ensure achievement of short and medium terms goal.
Responsibilities (Category Management)
- Implement sales and marketing approach based on insights and strategic partnership with retailers.
- Support the creation of business plans for new features/products
Experience and education
- Must have a minimum of 15 years of experience in a customer facing role.
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience building strategy for the C-Store / Retail industry.
- MBA required; exceptions will be considered for exceptional candidates.
- Proven experience managing a department budget.
- Proven track record of introducing products to market.
- Experience in digital media platforms.
- Experience leading teams in a marketing role.
- B2B experience required.
- Previous experience in a consulting role
