Sr. Service Desk Specialist Job at Smart Care Solutions

Smart Care Solutions is hiring a Sr. Service Desk Specialist to assist executives to resolve complex incidents regarding operations, including installations, setups, error messages, on-line transactions, system status, and downtime procedures, etc. Provides support to end users for either PC, iPad, MacBook, server, or mainframe applications and hardware. May solve highly technical complex incidents and be called on to consult for other projects. Responsible for the administration and/or support of computer systems or databases. Assists in the evaluation of business incidents, evaluates and recommends vendor packages, and implements required software. Coordinates the installation, maintenance, and support required to maintain a variety of PCs. Assists in the evaluation of new personnel end-user computing packages and equipment as well as in the implementation and testing of prototypes. Supports users/user groups on all aspects of user reported problems.
This role will also assist IT Support team members with ticket queues on an as-needed basis. This will also require one day a week visit to our Alsip, IL, location for any IT support that is required.
Education/Work Experience:
Degree in a technical area and two to four years of experience. Considered a Subject Matter Expert. Incumbents often have MS Suite of Products experience.
Independence Level/Reports to:
Under general direction; under moderate to general supervision. Errors may cause substantial delay, expense, and disruption. May serve in a project management capacity when rolling out new systems/software by providing time and budget estimates and regular status review of the rollout. Normally reports to Service Desk Supervisor.
