We are seeking a Security Technical Writer for supporting a Global Security Services team. The technical writer will be responsible to evolve the Security department document library, including policies, guidelines, architectures, standards and procedures. Candidate must have strong background in IT Technical documentation, excellent command of English language and be proficient with Microsoft Visio. Candidate must be highly collaborative and is expected to partner effectively with internal customers to see documents through from interview to draft to publication. Strong organizational skills are essential to ensure ongoing cross-referencing and rationalization throughout
the library.
Specific responsibilities:
Consolidate, update and rationalize existing documentation
Organize and manage request / deliverable queue to maintain timely production
Create new documents based on effective interviews with domain specialists
Create business process diagrams to describe department workflows
Create RACI tables to describe distribution of responsibilities
Create architecture diagrams to describe system composition, characteristics, and data flows
Experience/Skills Required:
Strong conceptual thinking and communication skills
Ability to translate complex business and technical interviews into effective and comprehensible
documents
Applies strong logic and principles-based reasoning to structure and organize content for optimal
comprehension
Approaches work in consistent and systematic fashion
Ability to think and write at conceptual level relevant to the topic
Ability to dynamically organize thought and information into relevant ontologies
Experience and familiarity with Information Security concepts and concerns
Familiarity with Markdown and CSS
Azure DevOps experience a plus
5+ years experience in technical writing for substantial IT organization
