Position: Senior Python Developer

Location: Irvine, CA (onsite)

Project Description:

• We are seeking a highly qualified and talented technologist to join us as a senior member of our Data Platform ]team. The team focuses on building and supporting a centralized data sourcing, controls and distribution platform that allows our business to operate efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business team, business analysts, and architects and be able to quickly understand the new requirements and helps to identify the changes to the system.
• Work closely on a day-to-day basis with development team, designers, copy writers and other IT teams.
• Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with business and technical audiences and produce design documents suitable for multiple audience types, both client-facing and internal
• Must be able to exhibit technical thought leadership and excellent problem solving ability, with an aptitude for technical innovation
• Reasonable understanding of content and social media publishing platforms with knowledge of latest industry trends in desktop, mobile, and video platform development
• Responsible development of Python code and ETL scripts to meet specifications and designs and using best practices.
• Effort estimation and task breakdown - estimating cost of implementing new changes and identifying risk.

Skills Must have:

• 3-5 years experience in software development using Python and cloud application development
• Experience in Lambda function application development
• Thoughtful in approach to software engineering practices and should enable a future-ready, high quality, and responsive code base
• A strong understanding of Python programming
• A strong understanding of relational databases and SQL queries, Aurora DB desired
• Knowledge in Data structures, OOPs concepts, json/DB modeling
• A strong understanding and use of asynchronous Restful API patterns
• Experience implementing AWS CloudFormation and CI/CD structures
• Able to define, document and communicate, middleware and back-end architectures
• Clear communicator (written and verbal)
• Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
• Knowledge and understanding of Software development and Agile development and methodologies
• Agile mindset and passion for designing product user experiences enable rapid business growth
• Independent thinker with ability to propose solution options

• Python ETL scripts (orchestrated by Glue)

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
