Job Title: Sr. Financial Analyst FLSA Status: Exempt

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This position is directly responsible for executing the company’s financial strategy and developing plans for growth to increase profit while also reducing expenditures. The senior financial analyst's responsibilities include assisting with financial planning and budgeting processes, analyzing financial statements and reports, developing financial models, preparing projections, and performing research and analysis as may be required by leadership. As a senior financial analyst, you will also be responsible for providing project teams with financial guidance and assisting with monthly close processes.

To be successful as a senior financial analyst, you should be able to perform a variety of financial activities including planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. You should also have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills and be able to present financial information and models in a concise and easily comprehensible manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Responsible for all financial analysis and performance and accountability reporting. Reviews and tracks key performance indicators for the company.
• Performs risk management by analyzing the company’s liabilities and assets, and presents recommendations to the President and other key staff.
• Oversee job cost accounting for all project managers and superintendents. Planning, implementation and control of outside CPA audits, financial statements and corporate taxes.
• Manages contract administration, process submittals, permitting, change orders, management of work progress, scheduling, monitor sub-contractors and approval for sub-contractors’ payments.
• Coordinates with the President and key staff on the handling of all vendor contracting and assists with the managing of successful relationships with key vendors.
• Manages all audits, ensuring excellent and timely results.
• Tracks cash flow and drives financial planning and budgeting process.
• Manages the company’s relationship with outside financial institutions
• Performs research and analysis as required
• Performs additional duties which may be required

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction Cost Accounting
• WIP experience required
• Familiarity with industry regulations and quality standards
• Proven ability to handle financial operations
• Good leadership and organizational skills
• Attention to detail, flexibility and ability to multi-task
• Ability to produce quality work with deadlines
• Strong decision making/problem solving skills
• Advanced abilities in Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, index match commands)
• Experience with SAGE, Procore or other accounting/project management software is a plus

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• A four-year college degree in business, management or a related field is required
• MBA preferred; CPA preferred

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
