Position Description:

Rally Point Management, LLC is seeking a Software Developer to join the team at Eglin Air Force base in Sunny Northwest Florida. You can live in the spectacular area of Destin, Niceville, and Ft. Walton Beach, while supporting the unique and diverse test activities at the 350 Spectrum Warfare Wing (SWW) at Eglin Air Force Base.

Responsibilities:

• Software Developer to support Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) for Development Security Operations in support of the 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (SWW)
• Provide expertise to the Chief CPI in continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) for the civilian and military personnel in the unit
• Serve as a part of agile development teams, delivering end-to-end automation of deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management in a cloud environment
• Build and configure delivery environments supporting CD/CI tools using an Agile delivery methodology
• Create scripts and/or templates to automate and/or bootstrap infrastructure provisioning and management tasks
• Work closely with the development team to create an automated continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipeline
• Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Monitor and support all installed systems and infrastructure
• Develop custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
• Contribute to the design of information and operational support systems
• Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Oversee the organization's security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Evaluate application performance, identify potential bottlenecks, develop solutions, and implement them as part of a team
• Provide assistance with Enterprise Application Development
• May provide support, to include Authority To Operate (ATO) support, or expertise towards cloud architecture, digital engineering and corresponding tools knowledge and enterprise app development

Qualifications:

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or another related area or significant experience that overcomes education requriements
• Minimum 5 or more years experience with most of the following:
  
  • Experience in administering and performance tuning of application stacks, such as Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX, and others.
  • Experience deploying and monitoring web applications in AWS.
  • Demonstrated experience with secure development, coding, and engineering practices;
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure testing strategies;
  • Experience with systems reliability, load balancing, monitoring, logging;
  • Experience with fully automating CI/CD pipelines end-to-end, from code commits to production;
  • Solid experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX/Linux based environments;KSAs:
  Excellent knowledge of networking technologies, particularly with OSI network layers and TCP/IP;
  
• Strong scripting skills, including shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python, Go, Groovy, Helm, etc;
• Ability to work in an open team environment with a security first mindset
• Strong verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
• Candidates must have the background to gain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance. An active security clearance is highly desired.
