Social Services Manager Job at Port Charlotte Rehab Center
Position Overview
Assists in providingsupervision of the Social Services Department to ensure the social, emotional and medical needs of the residents are met in accordance with all laws, regulations and facilityguidelines.
Basic Qualifications
Education and Certification:
MSW or BSW or Human Services degree.
Skills & Requirements:
- Must possess the ability to read, write and speak the English language
- Must have strong communication and presentation skills in both group and individualsituations
- Must be patient, friendly, courteous and respectful to residents in any situation, including difficult ones
- Must be able to make independent decisions when necessary
- Must have the ability to follow social services department guidelines as outlined by the facility and other regulations governing social services ina long-term care facility
- Must be able to move frequently throughout the workday
- Must be able to lift 20lbs floor to waist, lift 10 lbs waist to shoulder, lift and carry 20 lbs, and push/pull 20lbs.
Experience:
- Minimum one year experience in a social services position within a health care setting
- Active license as a Social Worker in current state
Job Type: Full-time
