Social Media Coordinator Job at Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation
Summary/Objective
A successful Social Media Coordinator will be a cross platform social ninja. Content creation and brand management of Medora and the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation is your jam. Staying ahead of trends and engagement while setting a well defined and flexible campaign plan will set up the SMC for great success. Guest engagement, influencer relationships, in town partnerships, design, and communication…yep, it’s all part of the job.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Keep a pulse on current trends and audience preference in order to create relevant content.
- Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification.
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages visitation to Medora.
- Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase visibility of TRMF’s social content.
- Moderate all user-generated content
- Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
- Facilitate and engage in online conversations with guests/customers, including responding to queries or questions from guests.
- Develop content campaigns, taking into consideration metrics and customer engagement.
- Suggest and research new ways to attract or engage customers, including promotions, contests or other methods.
- Coordinate and host travel bloggers and influencers.
- Collaborate with operations on in town marketing.
- Define most important social media KPIs.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Development Teams.
- Manage and oversee social media content across 10+ social accounts.
- Measure and report on the success of every social media campaign.
- Stay ahead of the latest social media best practices and technologies.
- Facilitate training on proficient social media use for coworkers.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
- Works under minimum supervision. Assignments are received in the form of results expected, due dates and general procedures to follow.
Work Environment
- This position is in an office environment. Evenings, weekends and holidays required as needed.

Required Education and Experience
- Previous Social Media Coordinator experience
- Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge.
- Bachelor’s Degree; preferred field of study in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations or related field preferred; or equivalent in education and/or experience.
- Knowledge and experience in trending social media platforms, including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Snapchat.
