What you will do

A Security Operations Center Analyst is needed for the remote monitoring of a Security Operations Center (SOC). This position will work closely with Infrastructure, Application, Network, Security, and Business Intelligence teams to provide Tier 1 monitoring, triage, and alerting in the Security Operations Center. While we utilize Python, successful candidates will have strong coding experience.

Key functions:

• Monitoring security logs, alerts, and dashboards, and reporting potential malicious activities to the SOC Manager
• Investigating potential security incidents and identifying their root cause
• Preparing reports to help security leaders evaluate the effectiveness of security policies
• Recommending improvements to security standards and systems to protect cyber threats
• Performing security audits
• Collaborating with third-party vendors

Competencies

• 2+ years of experience in a SOC, IT, or an Information Security-related field
• Knowledge of enterprise logging, with a focus on security event logging
• Knowledge of network security and endpoint security best practices
• Good communication skills both oral and written

Pay: $60,000.00 - $67,000.00 per year
