Senior Facility Estimator/Manager

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 (+ Signing Bonus)

Location: Thornton, CO (Hybrid Option)

Performance Energy Services is an energy services construction company located in Thornton, Colorado, with satellite offices in Carlsbad, NM, and Casper, WY. Senior Facility Estimator duties include reading and interpreting documents, subcontractor solicitation, analyzing drawing and specifications, writing proposals, and all duties required to prepare cost estimates for various projects. Conceptual estimating, client preconstruction services and design assist experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specifications, drawings, and reference information) to develop detailed, comprehensive cost estimates for oil, gas, renewable projects.
• Identify bid qualifications, risks, and assumptions along with quantities and pricing.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for earthwork, concrete work, structural and miscellaneous steel, underground and above ground piping and drainage, and process equipment installation.
• Make assumptions based on experience when detailed plans are not provided, and front-end estimating is performed based on conceptual level designs.
• Ability to understand civil construction methods and be able to clearly communicate the methods used to price an estimate.
• Provide estimating support for numerous projects, solicit, evaluate and incorporate vendor and manufacturer material and subcontract pricing.
• Participate in and manage estimate reviews and bid submittals.
• Preparation of proposal documents; recaps, pricing sheets, bid forms and other proposal documents for in-house review and bid submittal.
• Maintain past cost history and comparable details to improve estimating functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Construction Management with an emphasis in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Construction Management or related field.
• 8+ years experience in construction/estimating, preferably on Oil &Gas, and Renewable facility projects.
• Excellent ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong background in Bluebeam or equivalent PDF Editor, Microsoft Office, as well as Construction Estimating Software(s).
• Pipeline estimating experience is preferred, but not required.

• Effective Communication skills: Work as a part of a large or small team and communicate (written and verbal) effectively between departments and other staff members.
• Must possess a strong work ethic: work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends if required.
• Ability to travel occasionally (5-10%) and act independently with little or no supervision

Compensation Package

• Compensation $110,000 - $130,000 base salary, DOE
