SMT Solder Rework Technician Job at Aimtron Corporation
This individual must have been trained and certified in IPC-A-610 or equivalent soldering standard and have 3 years of experience in the lead and lead-free soldering repair of micro surface mount industrial electronics to component level. The Rework technician must be capable of performing complex rework operations in support of BGA (Ball Grid Array) repair/replacement on densely populated boards and performing lifted/damaged pad repairs of the PCB fabrication. Job Function:
Must be familiar with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT). Ability to identify component packages and values. Perform a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical rework tasks in support of service and occasional manufacturing requirements. Work from schematics, blueprints, and oral instructions to repair or modify assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components Perform rework and quality testing. Most work requires the use of a microscope during rework activities. Perform repairs by appropriate Quality Standards and industry soldering practices. Maintain a clean and orderly working area. Communicate machine operation status and errors to SMT Support Staff./Production Supervisor. Work with other team members to implement quality and performance improvement.

Job Qualifications Requirements
3-5 years of soldering experience IPC & J-STD certification is preferred Basic computer skills required Strong attention to detail Self-motivated Quality inspection experience desired. Experience working on multi-layer PCBAs Ability to interpret, receive direction and apply both written and oral communication Flexible to quickly adapt to learning new tasks, moving to new areas to meet changing customer demands Flexible and able to work overtime and weekends as required Flexible to work in multiple areas as required Demonstrated competencies in teamwork, professional demeanor, quality, job knowledge, communication, problem-solving and lean principles, flexibility, attendance, and timeliness
