Job Description Summary

GE is in the process of splitting into 3 distinct businesses. This resource is required to support the separation of the DT (Digital Technology) products and services provided by the corporate organization to allow the 3 businesses to operate independently.
The SMO TSA (Transitional Services Agreement) Manager Global Finance Applications will be responsible for supporting the TSA management and exit projects related to Global Applications within the DT Separation Management Office (SMO) Team.
This role will be responsible for partnering with the business SMO application teams and the Corporate DT product and service teams to ensure that all services outlined in the TSA are delivered as committed and that the business exits from the services per the agreed schedule.
The ideal individual has a strong technical background with a proven history of project/program management, ideally has an in-depth knowledge of GE application portfolio and is committed to successful outcomes for our future investment grade businesses.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, the successful candidate will:

  • Work with the separated business to provide guidance on Transitional Services management & exits. Includes pricing and billing, decommissioning processes, and standard transitional processes.
  • Support the business project strategy to deliver on the expected outcomes to migrate all products and services to independent businesses services.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project
  • Coordinate execution across multiple projects and drive shared approach and outcomes tracking
  • Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed as required
  • Manage stakeholder communication and progress reporting at various levels of the organization including leadership and executives
  • Report functionally to DT SMO Global Applications Workstream Lead and own distinct projects/programs that form part of the overall DT SMO plan.

Required Qualifications

  • Experienced with Program and/or Project Management, driving cross-functional engagement and benefits. Proven experience of overseeing large, complex application deployment projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in STEM Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong professional product management, business and technical acumen and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals. Strong communication skills and comfortable with presenting and interacting with all levels within the organization.

Desired Characteristics

  • Business, financial and legal acumen, plus prior exposure to GE verticals and product portfolio.
  • Proven experience of project management methodologies to deliver business value and drive significant change across an organization.
  • Demonstrated track record of implementing & operating standards for large organizations.
  • Ability to synthesize and communicate complex technology topics to all levels of the organization. Excellent negotiating and influencing skills at all levels of the organization as well as with external organizations.
  • Demonstrated competency in strategic thinking and leadership with strong relationship management ability.
  • Proven analytical and strong problem-solving skills - effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans.
  • Financial experience including budget management, spend tracking, and liquidations.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals.
  • Team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources and proven ability to develop strategic relationships.
  • Self-starter - requires minimal direction to accomplish goals.
  • Track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities. Has the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems.
  • Experience working with others on a global basis.
  • Applies knowledge to coach and mentor others.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions at a portfolio level is a benefit. As is experience of TSAs (Transitional Services Agreements) and Business Development practices
