At Mt. Hood Meadows we have a saying – “Everybody Shovels.” While everyone is shoveling after a big storm, the Slope and Park Grooming Team ensures the slopes and terrain are ready for the 8:55 am opening.
The Slope Grooming Manager leads the team in preparing the mountain terrain and turning it into a surface for our guests and team to ride.

The Slope Grooming Manager oversees the operation of heavy snow-removal equipment, provides technical support or training on specialized machinery, and anticipates business needs to effectively schedule team members. As a member of the leadership team this position will provide coaching, guidance, and growth opportunities for team members. The ideal candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate a general knowledge of mountain terrain and heavy snow-removal equipment and has prior experience leading, growing, and developing slope and terrain park groomers.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Ability to be insured to operate company vehicles
• General knowledge of slope grooming and snow removal operations
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to commit to working weekends and holidays during the winter season
• This position is subject to a satisfactory background screening
• Comfortable with the changing dynamics of a seasonal business

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Experience being in a supervisor, manager, or leadership role
• Demonstrated knowledge of daily MHM grooming department operations
