Site Coordinator for Elder Services - M to F 8am to 5pm - Tampa/Lakeland Job at Seminole Tribe of Florida

We're looking for an energetic Site Coordinator that loves interacting with Seniors and those with disabilities! Typically the work schedule is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and is based at the Tampa Reservation 3100 N 63rd Ave, Hollywood, FL 33024. In a few months we do however plan on moving to the Lakeland Reservation 8915 Moore Rd, Lakeland, FL 33809. We do some day outings with the Elders around town like going to flea markets, casinos, movies, visit other Reservations, etc. You'll also travel on overnight trips in and out of Florida! Trips can range 3 to 10 days overnight and it'll be planned in advance.

Note that Elder Services will run the community hurricane shelter when we move to Lakeland so eventually it would be required to be able to work the shelter overnight in the event of an active storm.

Position Summary

The incumbent in this position is responsible for supervising and coordinating all aspects of the day-to-day operation of Tampa Elder Services’ program within the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The individual ensures the provision of departmental services to Tribal Elders through excellent customer service and compliance with STOF’s policies and procedures. The Site coordinator serves as an advocate for the program, analyzing information and evaluates results to assist Tribal Community, guests and visitors in resolving program related conflicts. The incumbent performs tasks with some autonomy and makes independent judgments within established STOF’s policies and procedures and supervises the work of assigned staff.

Qualifications / Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Associate’s degree is preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of experience coordinating programs for the elderly or in a similar area is required. Familiarity with the Elder Services’ management program and processes, concepts, practices and procedures is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License is required. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel to events and activities and to work a flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

  • This is Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm located at the Tampa Reservation 6401 Harney Rd Tampa FL 33610 however we plan on moving locations in a few months. When we do transition, the new schedule would be 7am to 4pm and location will be at the Lakeland Reservation 8915 Moore Rd. Lakeland, FL 33809. We do outings with the Elders and you would be required to join. There would be occasional overnight trips in and out of state that can last 3 to 14 days however you would have advance notice since you would be the one coordinating the trips.
