Piedmont Aviation Component Services is looking for a qualified Shipping and Receiving Associate.

This is a 1st shift job paying between $35,360 and $39,520 a year depending heavily on your experience.

This candidate will perform the following duties:

Purpose:

• Maintain compliance with FAA, ISO, EASA and SOX regulations.
• Perform Shipping and Receiving duties accurately with a sense of urgency.

Essential Job Functions:

• Arranges shipping with various carriers paying close attention to cost.
• Maintains high degree of attention to detail
• Receives deliveries and performs three-way match
• Maintains the Grief shelf and documentation
• Distributes packages within the company as required
• Maintains files of goods shipped by preparing shipping reports for managers
• Repairs wooden boxes and creates cardboard boxes.
• Operates and maintains foam packaging system.
• Tracks and provides proof of delivery of all shipments.
• At times must investigate shortages and miscounts within the receiving dock area.
• Knowledge of 6S and its purpose.
• Other duties as assigne

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED. Recommended one or more years of experience with inventory.
• Highly organized and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Patience and tolerance for interruptions and reprioritization.
• Position requires fulfillment of all physical and written tasks related to Parts Receiving.
• Comprehend and comply with FAA requirements and procedures around receiving.
• Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly area.
• Standard office equipment such as copier, printer, fax machine, calculator, phone and computer.
• Management of ERP (Quantum) and others as upgraded.
• Experience with MS Office Applications with a focus in Excel (or other computer software that may be necessary).
• Experience with packaging, shrink wrapping, shipping computers (e.g., FedEx and UPS), hoist, pallet jack and hand truck.
• Maintain Forklift License.
• Shift requires 40+ hours per week
