Shipping / Logistics Coordinator Job at Winters Recreation
Summary:
We are looking to hire a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to oversee and facilitate the shipping and delivery of our products. This position would include Over-the-Road trucking management for internal and external loads.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Winters Rec inventory shipments for delivery
- Communicating with customers about freight details, delivery or pickup times and special handling requests.
- Promptly resolve shipment and inventory issues as they arise
- Process freight claims and billing
- Preparing documents and generate freight bills and invoices.
- Maintain records of dispatched routes, driver routes, route changes, as well as delivery and pickup times.
- Planning pre-determine routes and accommodating route changes as needed.
- Monitoring Truck repairs and maintenance schedules.
- Keeping track of transportation regulations and laws to ensure that truck drivers comply.
- Logging customer shipping schedules
- Weekly meetings
- Managing trucking logs and reporting
- Inventory tracking of incoming loads that need delivery coordinated.
- Ongoing communication with Sales and Accounting on pending payment or work order units.
- Ongoing communication with Sales and Production teams with incoming and outgoing loads and routes.
- Prepping outgoing loads for shipment when necessary.
- Prepping necessary paperwork for upcoming scheduled routes.
- Any additional administrative duties that arise.

Credentials and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years' experience in a logistics support role
