Service Technician Agriculture - Quincy, WA Job at The McGregor Company

Essential Functions:
- Accurate fulfillment of assigned work orders. Accurate and timely completion of paperwork and reporting for inventory control, DOT, and safety compliance.
- Product handling including unloading rail cars, loading and delivery of chemicals and equipment, bagging fertilizer, maintaining clean and safe facility.
- Calibration, maintenance and operation of application equipment. Ability to calculate rates and nutrient values for fertilizer mixes and loads. Ability to read and understand crop protection products labels and mixing instructions.
- Maintain professional appearance. Maintain safety procedures and consistently use required safety equipment
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; keeps paperwork and work areas organized; keeps safety and stewardship a priority.
Requirements/Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- CDL driver’s license with Tank and Hazmat endorsement (current or obtained within an established time frame); must be Class B or above; Class A preferred
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator license, or state equivalent, plus necessary endorsements (current or obtained within an established time frame)
- Forklift operator (or ability to become a certified operator)
- Mechanical aptitude for equipment (maintenance, farming or equipment operation experience helpful)
- Basic math & computer skills
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Dependable and organized with a team-oriented focus
