Job Summary:
The Senior Commercial Construction Sales Leader will assist Business Development team to sell products and services offered by the company to current and new clientele. The Senior Leader is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the Business Development department. Their duties include assisting in hiring, training Business Development staff, relaying information from upper management to department staff about sales initiatives and expectations generating leads to divide among Business Development associates. Senior Leader will lead Business Development team in new business, trends and market research related to Business Development field. This position will report directly to Fox Cities Builders CEO.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Multiple Business Development associates
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Communicate with customers and Business Development team to identify and understand building needs.
- Identify and suggest designs and services with internal and external customers.
- Coach and train the functions and utility of buildings/designs to Business Development associates based on customer’s needs.
- Coach business development team to ensure that state or local municipality building permits are completed.
- Ensure that subcontractors have required permits and state submittals prior to start of project.
- Provide department forecasting to assist in developing company initiatives and goals.
- Collaborate with structural and architectural engineering firms for project designs as well as internal design team.
- Attend and lead all tradeshows as directed by company marketing team.
- Collaborate with other building trades for building designs as well as internal design team.
- Maintain working relationships with civil engineers and attend municipal meetings as necessary for customers property selection and committee approvals for land use.
- Prepare weekly management reports and present to company CEO.
- Maintain honest and trusting relationships with Fox Cities Builders team.
- Lead FCB team in monthly project status assessments, internal project meetings, and client progress meetings.
- Provide final review of estimates and contracts to ensure accuracy and honest numbers.
- Commute and analyze customer projects and provide support on pricing and bidding to estimating team.
- Troubleshoot with suppliers/subcontractors to resolve issues or to find better solutions of working together as a cohesive team.
- Qualify all sales leads and direct leads towards business development team.
- Report development information into designated software programs as well as hold Business Development team responsible for entering such information as required by FCB standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service skills as well as being able to have crucial conversations when needed.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Have the ability to lead through significant changes throughout the market and organization.
- Must hold a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and be willing/able to travel as needed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 8 years of related sales/building experience required.
- Previous leadership and people management experience is preferred.
- Demonstrates proven track record of managing close customer relationships is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to travel throughout facility or to job sites as required to conduct regular site visits/tours with customers or other members of the FCB team.
- Ability to conduct tours or meetings in a variety of work areas and in varied climates including extreme heat and cold, rainy or snowy conditions, as needed.
- Must be physically able to walk on uneven, wet, slippery or grainy surfaces.
