Senior Rotating Equipment Design Engineer Job at Kane Partners LLC
Established, fast growing OEM for gas compression systems is increasing their R+D investment in the clean energy hydrogen space. We are seeking an innovative Mechanical Engineer interested in creating new products and IP in this fast-emerging global market.
· Participate in the development of Hydrogen-specific compression systems and subsystems and equipment yielding novel approaches and potentially new IP.
· Research, test and apply new performance enhancing materials.
· Combine and apply experience and emerging industry trend to create components, valves, compressors and associated parts, subsystems and systems pushing the state of the art
Duties:
· Develop new and improve existing mechanical rotating equipment like compression pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, etc…
· Apply knowledge of electrical systems and process controls, etc. in Gasification, Process gases industry, Oil & Gas, or Petrochemical Industry.
Some of what you will bring today:
· BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
· Minimum 10 years of experience in the design of pressure vessels, rotating equipment, etc.
· Registered Professional Engineer in at least one state of the United States is a plus
· Strong technical skills in the design of pressure vessels and heat exchangers
· Strong working knowledge of appropriate ASME design codes
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Experience with manufacturing design and fabrication drawings
· Experience with pressure vessel design software such as COMPRESS
· Experience with stress analysis software such as AutoPIPE, Caesar, FEA etc. is preferred
· Experience with Fatigue analysis or HTRI heat exchanger design software is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $73,537.17 - $149,547.14 per year
