Position Details
Location: Charlotte, NC (Some flexibility on location exists for the right candidate)
Compensation: $115K + Bonus Potential
Shift or Travel: Moderate travel about 30% overnight, 6-9 nights a month. There will be a mix between that and working from home or within driving distance from home.

Position Description
As a Senior Mechanical Commissioning, you will demonstrate your engineering skills and by leveraging the firm’s technology centric competitive edge. You will work with design engineers, vendors, contractors, and client personnel to design, test, make operational, optimize, and validate Electrical systems in multiple 24x7 mission critical plants, pharmaceutical, healthcare, power generation or similar environments.
This position will involve developing and coordinating functional testing of multi-stack equipment and multi-redundant system configurations within a trade. You will review criteria, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and other documentation pertinent to commissioning. Responsibilities will include:
  • Write and administer Commissioning Plans, and Systems Manuals consistent with company format.
  • Participate in / Ensure / Oversee QA/QC process for your work and the work of others.
  • Assist senior commissioning engineer or project manager in the on-going determination of project scheduling requirements, staffing requirements, and project budgets.
  • Perform construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports?
Position Requirements
  • A technical 4-year BS degree is required.
  • Experience including commissioning or designing of large?Mechanical?systems for industrial, datacenter, pharmaceutical processes, or laboratory clean rooms. Your technical strengths must be complemented by self-motivation, relationship building skills, and effective communication skills.
  • Strong Mechanical commissioning experience is acceptable. Key is to have actually done commissioning work, writing scripts, developing SOPs, MOPs, performing testing on heavy Mission Critical systems etc.
