Stryker’s Sustainability Solutions Advanced Operations team is seeking to hire a Senior Engineering Technician, to work on new product introduction process development in Chandler, Arizona. This role supports the execution of assigned project elements with an emphasis on the manufacturing process, technology and procedures required for the manufacture of new products.

What you will do:

  • Assist Advanced Operations Engineers in the development, transfer, and validation of new manufacturing processes to support new products
  • Assist engineers in the development of test protocols, procedures, and reports related to equipment qualification and process verification and validation
  • Provide support in the development and implementation of production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner
  • Provide technical support for new process introductions, ensuring that all activities are completed and documented in accordance with new product development procedures
  • Ensure quality of process and product as defined in the appropriate operation and material specifications
  • Support Project and Process Engineers on the development of manufacturing and/or inspection process flows as well as on executing Design of Experiments, Design for Manufacturing, Design for Inspection, Design Validation Build activities
  • Work in a hands-on manner to develop system-level process methods and controls strategies, makes recommendations to management and coordinates implementation
  • Provide on-going status reports including periodic reviews, progress, and evaluation of results to management
  • Create and drive document changes through the engineering change control process
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve with machinery as needed
  • Meet all schedule and overtime requirements, as well as all other tasks assigned

What you need:

Education and Experiences

  • High School or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree, a plus
  • 3+ years relevant experience required
  • Overall understanding of quality control systems required
  • Basic computer skills required; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and have the ability to understand geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing preferred
  • Experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Physical Work Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry 10-50 pounds regularly, ability to lift/carry 50-75 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, sit, stand, crawl, as needed
  • Strong visual acuity required
  • Ability to be exposed to loud noises
