About the Role
This is a role for a creative individual with a passion for user-centered content design and willingness to collaborate within a team environment. You’ll help build the BetMGM experience and elevate the team by producing work that is always raising the bar and taking a user first approach to solving problems. Your work will allow our customers to feel delighted, empowered and oriented every time they use our products.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate and help lead the vision and roadmap for all product areas alongside product managers, user researchers, content strategists, engineers, and other designers. Shape the team's roadmap and goals by providing input from a user's perspective
- Lead the creation and refinement of product messaging that facilitates user discovery, on-boarding, promos, error messages, user education, and other components of the end-to-end user experience
- Own the creation and maintenance of content design guidelines and best practices in BetMGM’s design system. Establish consistency in product language and messaging to ensure cohesive brand voice
- Develop a content strategy perspective throughout the product development process and influence strategic decisions across and within products
- Evangelize the value of content design within the BetMGM Product and partner organizations. Support the leadership team in the growth of the content design discipline by assisting in organizational planning and the evaluation of candidates during the hiring process
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to other members of the Product Design team and educate cross-functional partners on the role of content design and content strategy throughout the product development process
- Understand the importance of User Research and Data Science to define what qualitative and quantitative data will be important in your work. Partner with those teams throughout the design and development process, becoming familiar with different data collection techniques and adapt work based on data analysis
- Contribute to the creation of detailed user flows, product maps, wireframes, etc. based on your own insight and requirements from Product Management. Clearly and thoroughly communicate UX to relevant teams and help represent UX throughout the entire lifecycle of the project
- Understand and translate complex regulatory, business, and technical requirements to clear and concise language to maintain privacy, accountability, and user control
- Share early and often, gather, and provide constructive feedback, and quickly iterate
- Drive content-specific deliverables for a specific challenge, such as content audits, messaging frameworks, and dynamic copy solutions
- Develop Product expertise and promote cross functional collaboration to accurately prioritize feature deliverables
Essential Functions
- Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Content Designer working on cross-functional teams releasing consumer or enterprise web/mobile products
- Experience helping lead and mentor a team of creatives
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Experience with quick decision-making and rapid iteration
- The ability to break down problems and work within constraints
- Experience creating content for high-quality digital products with significant business and technical complexity
- Understanding of interactive design, usability principles, design systems and how content strategy contributes to user experience
- A growth-mindset and love of learning. You’re open and receptive to feedback and can adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Deep curiosity around current products, trends, software, platforms, and hardware
- A portfolio of writing samples showcasing how you frame problems, act on insights, and help create best-in-class digital product experiences

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
