Job Summary & Essential Functions:

Coordinate monthly/quarterly/annual financial closing and reporting activities in a timely manner in compliance with GAAP financial requirements and Sarbanes Oxley compliance for a multi-site organization. Oversee all financial cut-offs for revenue recognition, cash, AP, AR, inventory, and fixed assets.

  • Participate in accounts payable, accounts receivable and daily cash activities to keep transactions and workflow current
  • Participate in the month end closing process for cash, AR, AP, inventory, intracompany transactions, general accounting activities, and sales, bookings and backlog
  • Prepare supporting documentation and journal entries as required for month end close
  • Prepare account reconciliations for general ledger accounts
  • Coordinate accounting matters and participate in process development with other departments and employees
  • Maintain/monitor fixed asset acquisitions and capital expenditure data to ensure compliance
  • Supervise the weekly cash forecast to assist management with cash decisions
  • Compute and prepare, financial and statistical reports; prepare analyses and make recommendations, resulting from the analyses
  • Recommend and/or provide instruction on processes to maintain the most accurate efficient transactions
  • Review requests for wire transfers to ensure accuracy and timely payment
  • Provide backup support for AP, AR, and cost analyst as needed
  • Organize the filing and reference systems pertinent to general and cost accounting activities
  • Assist with managing the annual external financial and bank audits


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Ability to work in a high volume, high detail work environment in a multi-site organization
  • Strong analytical skills including research, trend analysis, data analysis, and presentation of data through charts and graphs
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to produce quality products and results
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, with all levels of the organization and customers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude, good listening skills, team-oriented, courteous and respectful of others
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Knowledgeable of ERP systems
  • Ability to be creative and innovative with solutions, problem resolution and product/ project assignments
  • Strong decision-making skills; utilizing sound judgement and thorough processes
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to initiate projects and tasks as required to fulfill goals and deadlines
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and assignments to meet established goals and deadlines
  • Ability to conduct business relationships with positivity, integrity, professionalism, and respect for others
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute productively to the goals of the team


Required Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required
  • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant job experience required
