Senior Compliance Analyst Job at Dime Community Bank f/k/a BNB Bank
The Senior Compliance Analyst (SCA) is responsible for leading consumer compliance reviews with minimal supervision and guiding staff as necessary. The role partners with business units to maintain a strong culture of enterprise-wide compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, rules and guidance related to deposit and lending regulations.
Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $70,000 to $85,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.

Responsibilities:
- Assist CTM in developing or updating compliance testing programs as regulatory changes or requirements occur.
- Execute all phases of compliance reviews including planning, testing, and reporting within established timeframes. Independently project manage the reviews to ensure timely completion.
- Execute established compliance review program testing Dime's compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
- Maintain detailed workpapers and documentation to support testwork performed, document testwork walkthroughs, and clearly document exceptions.
- Assess identified findings, determine root causes, propose risk ratings in accordance with department guidelines, and draft recommendations. Discuss these testing results and findings with management to develop the report.
- Draft reports of results of compliance testing which are clear, concise, and provide value to management. Communicate findings and recommendations and collaborate with management to determine appropriate action plan(s) for remediation.
- Assist staff and perform preliminary review of workpapers where necessary.
- Assist CTM with uploading findings and action plans to Dime's Issue Management Tracking application.
- Coordinate with management to perform assigned closure verification testing ensuring testing conforms to department guidelines, workpapers are complete and accurate, and testing is completed within established timeframes.
- Assist CTM in updating applicable risk assessments based on results of assigned compliance reviews.
- Communicate effectively in written workpapers, emails, and meetings as well as verbally with department management and the business.
- Perform special projects and additional duties and responsibilities as directed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree; minimum three years’ relevant experience in financial services in a consumer compliance-related capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of federal and NYS consumer compliance regulations with ability to understand, interpret, convey, and implement requirements of pertinent laws and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of banking products, services, policies, and procedures required.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills required with ability to supervise and provide direction to staff.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal (verbal and written), organizational and presentation skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) software experience preferred.
- Demonstrated professionalism with all levels of an organization.
