Merrick is seeking to continue the growth of an actively growing water practice in the Idaho market which is inclusive of water, wastewater, and surface water markets. Merrick & Company is looking for a Senior Civil Designer in either our Boise, McCall, Coeur d’Alene, or Lewiston, ID locations

Job Description

Merrick & Company is seeking a Senior AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit Designer and project design lead in support of water and wastewater treatment, pumping and pipeline project execution for Municipal, State, Federal, commercial and industrial client sectors. The ideal candidate can perform non-routine assignments and must be capable of making sound drafting/CAD decisions, produces and develops CAD drawings, knowledgeable of project workflow, and exercises independent judgment, while receiving minimal instructions from supervisors. Drawing elements include sitework and building layout, yard piping and utilities, paving and grading; building and structure plan, building section and detail view development that includes interior piping, equipment and structural components; and plan and profile drawing development for water distribution and sanitary sewer collection system pipelines.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of eight (8) to years of AutoCAD drafting experience is required.
  • Experience developing drawings in Autodesk Revit is a plus.
  • Experience in municipal water and wastewater projects is a must.
  • Associates Degree in Drafting, Graphic Design preferred or Technical College Certification or Equivalent Relevant Experience.
  • Field experience is a plus
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation.
  • Be able to work in an environment with open discussions and visitors without getting distracted.
  • May be required to lift up to 20 lbs.
