Position Summary
· Utilize CAD software to create DWG site plans for all DWP events. The Senior CAD Designer will work with the operations team and collaborate with all departments to update existing event site plans, as well as help create DWG files for new event site locations. The successful Senior CAD Designer will attend site visits as needed and will assist the operations department with site layout and provide “as-built” files post-event.
Responsibilities include:
· Establish backgrounds for site plans to create the most accurate site plan possible
· Work with all departments to incorporate their needs and communicate potential limitations and work with operations team to provide options for an optimal site layout
· Provide asset counts per event to assist operations department with vendor orders and budgeting.
· Provide capacity studies and emergency exiting plans to present to venues and local government authorities.
· Revise site plans as requested
· Keep up to date on all modern advancement in material and software technologies
· Pursue ongoing education in the field
· Utilize large databases of material property information to best select materials for modeling
· Demonstrate innovative thinking to creatively solve problems logistically and creatively.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
· 5+ years’ experience utilizing CAD software (AutoCad, AutoDesk Software, and/or AutoCAD certificate)
· Minimum 5 years working in a professional environment
· Strong organizational skills
· Excellent attention to detail
· An abundance of patience to see a complicated project to the end
· Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner
· Comfortable with sitting for long periods of time
· Willingness to travel
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 per year
