Design Group is searching for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst. This is a remote work opportunity. Candidates local to a DGA location will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid setting with a highly collaborative team. The standard hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm EST.

WHAT WILL I DO IN THIS ROLE?
You will be responsible for managing and developing the various BI platforms at DGA. This role will support the creation and maintenance of user-facing reports, interfaces, and the related back-office reporting processes. This position will: gather reporting requirements, develop data repositories, support end-user data access, and maintain all data warehouse systems. The BI Analyst will work closely with the various source system developers to ensure that user-facing data sources are updated, accurate, and properly presented. This person will be the primary point of contact for data reporting needs and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of BI systems from back-office data aggregation to end-user access and delivery
  • Maintenance and monitoring of systems that deliver data analytics to users to ensure uptime and timeliness of data
  • Collect business reporting requirements with stakeholders to develop data solutions to transform raw data and provide appropriate insights
  • Create, test, and deploy PowerBI scripts and dashboards to allow for data extraction and analysis
  • Scheduling of processes to update datasets, deliver reports, and provide information
  • Construct new data repositories for existing and new data sources, and provide visualizations to enhance user accessibility and understanding
  • Utilize MS-SQL queries to optimize data storage and delivery
  • Manage MS-SQL and PowerBI platforms to ensure optimal operation and timely delivery of data
  • Maintain compliance of systems within IT General Controls structure


WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED?


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-10 years of experience using business intelligence tools, especially the Microsoft BI stack.
  • 5-10 years of experience in business data analytics, especially in financial reporting.
  • Exposure to ERP based datasets, such as JD Edwards, in a large enterprise environment.
  • Understanding of PowerBI security model.
  • Familiarity with MS-SQL Server technologies and tools.
  • Ability to convert data into relevant reports and graphs.
  • Excellent communications skills with both non-technical and highly technical resources.
  • Able to self-manage workload, balancing small tasks and larger projects.
  • Experience working with change control tools and trouble ticket reporting systems.
