Job Description:
General Function / Summary :
Provides strategic business analysis to business partners. The focus of this position is to work closely with internal & external stakeholders to gain in-depth understanding of business strategy, processes, products and the context in which the business operates.

Essential Duties:
  • Analyze current business processes and devise improvement solutions for the business.
  • Map current and future business & process flows.
  • Understand and define project scope and document detailed business requirements
  • Acting as a liaison between business and IT groups
  • Create user stories for the development team
  • Prioritize and refine backlog for the development team
  • Prototype and demo new features and functionality to stakeholders
  • Create test plan and be able to assist in UAT if needed.
  • Managing risk and issues within the project, identify mitigation strategies
  • Analyze the technical and business impacts
  • Manage expectations with stakeholders (Internal and external)
  • Identify, recommend and implement best practices, standard methodologies and process improvements to support business goals
  • Work directly with direct management and finance to determine proposed solution will achieve desired outcomes
  • Help ensure regulatory and legal compliance in all areas of responsibility
  • Provide documentation and information necessary for teams to create and execute training strategies
  • Ensure data and reporting is a focus to support stakeholder needs
  • Successfully manage 1-2 strategic and/or enterprise initiatives simultaneously
  • Facilitate successful delivery of project requirements to meet stakeholder’s specification.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders
  • Evaluating the performance of project teams to ensure that targets and deadlines are met.
  • Creating weekly & monthly status reports

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT or any related field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of business analyst experience
  • 2+ years of experience with a financial or lending business preferred
  • Strong problem solving, collaboration, time management and organization skills
  • Detail-oriented team player with ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and stakeholder management
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
