We are looking for proven Professional Security Officers to undertake the surveillance and protection at a prestigious shopping center in San Rafael. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, trespassing, thefts or other criminal behavior. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping the site safe and problem-free. The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills and be tech savvy. The officers hired will be working all aspects of security at the mall, including foot patrol, mobile patrol and CCTV positions. Must be able to endure all weather conditions, out in public being visible, dealing with customers, clients, people that may be asked to move on. Must have excellent work ethic, reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
• Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
• Understand when to contact SOC, PD, client or management
• Maintain a friendly demeanor towards customers, tenants, and others

Skills

• Proven experience as security officer or guard
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
• Familiarity with report writing
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
• Registered as a security officer
• High School diploma is required

MUST HAVE:

Valid CA Guard Card

Valid CA Drivers License or ID

Must be at least 18 years of age (minimum 21 for driving positions - for insurance purposes)

Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private)

Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English

Must have a High School Diploma or GED

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to be customer service oriented, with the ability to interact with all levels of individuals in a courteous manner
