We are currently seeking a Seasonal Tax Associate in Atlanta, GA.

The Seasonal Tax Associate is responsible for preparing complex personal, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns and review of all low level tax returns prepared by staff, offer support and training to Tax Associates and Tax Interns, create and maintain new client relationships through personal and professional networking.

Responsibilities:

  • Pursue increasing expertise in technical areas, and grow leadership skills to support team and client needs
  • Responsible for the coordination and completion of individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns with limited supervision
  • Review simple individual returns, bookkeeping projects, payroll and sales taxes prepared by Tax Associates and Interns
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Utilize client input and data, firm-specific software, and industry knowledge to produce accurate, timely tax related documents including corporate, partnership, individual and trust tax returns
  • Work in conjunction with Supervisor or Manager to communicate with clients, Ronald Blue Trust advisors, or outside parties
  • Perform research projects in the response to issues arising from client work
  • Prepare/reconcile accounts and maintain client records as needed to create accurate work product in the areas of bookkeeping, sales taxes, payroll taxes, and other tax related filings
  • Maintain effective organizational and time management skills to manage multiple engagements
  • Demonstrate integration of firm mission, vision and values in day-to-day behavior and actions
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • CPA designation required
  • Minimum 4-5 years tax experience in public accounting
  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft, QuickBooks, and other firm software
  • Self-starter with ability to multitask and complete assignments within deadline constraints
  • Comfortable in a fast paced environment that requires flexibility and responsiveness
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn new systems and process information quickly
  • Organization skills with attention to detail
  • Dedication to superior client service
  • Ability to manage projects and train staff

Job Specifications:

  • Minimal local travel
  • Flexibility to work Saturdays and extended hours during peak busy seasons
