School Bus Router Job at WE Transport, Inc.
WE Transport, a premier Long Island, NY based provider of student transportation, is seeking a School Bus Router to work in our Plainview corporate office.
Responsibilities
- Create, update and modify routes for both public and private schools and special needs programs as it relates to door-to-door transportation.
- Correspond with Terminal Managers, Dispatchers and Drivers to ensure routes are being completed in the most efficient manner.
- Respond to calls from parents, school administrators, etc. as it relates to routes.
- Create, update and maintain student records.
- Continually assess and fix route issues.
Requirements
- Three (3) years prior routing experience in the school bus industry preferred but not required.
- Must have knowledge of Long Island (Nassau & Suffolk), as well as the five (5) boroughs of NYC.
- Must be computer proficient in Excel and have “hands-on” experience using GPS and Routing software.
- Must possess excellent communication (both verbal and written) and organizational skills and be customer service oriented.
- A valid NYS CDL A, B or C license with P & S endorsements preferred.
