School-Based Behavior Consultant Job at Northwestern Counseling
Northwestern Counseling & Support Services is seeking a School Based Behavior Consultant to provide consultation on school-wide and individualized behavior plans for students.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessment, creation, facilitation and implementation of therapeutic, educational and behavioral interventions for students within their schools and communities.
- Making recommendations to providers for programming along with training, guiding and supporting educational and behavioral staff, families, home and community-based support providers in a variety of settings.
- Implementing functional behavior assessments and take these findings to create behavioral intervention plans for teachers, paraeducators and/or BI staff.
Experience working with children receiving ABA services a must, preferably experience with children with Emotional Disturbances. This candidate should also have knowledge of the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) model and be able to work with a interdisciplinary team to make recommendations for system wide and individual needs. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm; allowing some flexibility with earlier start or later end times to accommodate school schedules including home and staff meetings before or after school.
