Scheduler - Radiology (Einstein Philadelphia) Job at Jefferson - Philadelphia, PA
- Under the direction of the Supervisor of Radiology Scheduling performs all outpatient pre registration as per current process, insurance verification, referrals, pre certifications, co pay identification, scheduling and appointment verification issues for MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy, Interventional and Diagnostic Divisions enterprise wide as needed
- Must possess good customer services skills
- Must be able to communicate instructions to all patients
- Must possess some knowledge of Radiology Departments workflow and various modalities
- Must be able to work overtime as staffing dictates
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
- Future Date Registration preferred
- Insurance Verification, knowledge of referral, precertifications required
- Knowledge of CPT coding preferred
- Must be able to coordinate studies between varied departments and physician offices
- Basic computer knowledge required
- Must be a motivated individual willing to continually learn new functions in the HIS and the RIS
- Ability to follow oral and written communication required
