Vista Health System is a community healthcare provider; a network that includes Vista Medical East campus and the Vista Lindenhurst campus that includes Vista Ambulatory Care Center, Lindenhurst Surgery Center, LLC, a freestanding Emergency Center and the Medical Office Building. The Vista Health system also has several locations for imaging, patient therapy and physician offices throughout Lake County, Illinois.
We are currently looking for a passionate Central Scheduler to join our team!
Responsibilities:
Schedule inpatient and outpatient procedures.
- Obtain and accurately key complete and thorough patient, insurance and appointment information into the computer system.
- Coordinate STAT appointment requests with the servicing department.
- Maintain department schedules at requested or appropriate patient volumes through system manipulation or written guidelines.
- Document how orders will be obtained. (Patient, fax, etc.)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare or business related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within a hospital, medical or insurance office setting or appropriate education in a medical-related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of customer service required.
