RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Complete daily Sanitation task list that includes, but is not limited to:

Cleaning building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.

Performing routine sanitizing of various types of production equipment using power praying equipment and sanitizing chemicals.

Separating garbage that is commingled with cardboard.

Separating organic material from other trash

Depositing and baling cardboard in appropriate baler for recycling.

Depositing garbage in appropriate receptacles.

Cleaning restrooms and breakroom.

Safely working with a variety of sanitizing chemicals chemicals.

Notifying management of equipment that is not working properly.

Performing other duties as assigned by sanitation lead or other management.

Performing all duties in compliance with USDA or FDA, OSHA and state and local regulations and company policies and procedures; including safety guidelines and the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Have the ability to comprehend basic verbal instructions, read product labels and safety warnings.

Have high level of job motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Reach, stoop and bend at waist repetitively throughout entire shift.

Push/pull wheeled cart weighing 80 to 100 pounds.

Empty wheeled cart that is full to capacity weighing up to 100 pounds.

Ability to walk and/or stand for entire shift.

Work in an environment that is between 35 and 40 degrees above zero Fahrenheit for an entire shift.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

No minimum education requirement; High School diploma or GED or equivalent preferred

6 months previous sanitation experience in a food production environment preferred.
