SALES REPRESENTATIVE JOB DESCRIPTION
The expansion and growth of BPW has created the opportunity for this new position. Report directly to the CEO, and support our national expansion by promoting and selling our Social Emotional Learning and Mindfulness online teacher training and support services to schools outside of the New York City, DC, Miami and LA areas where we are currently based. This is an independent position and requires an experienced Sales Representative who is strategic, innovative, highly self motivated, who can independently identify resources to expand our national visibility in elementary, middle and high school districts located throughout the US. The focus of this new role is to market our online Social Emotional Learning & Mindfulness Teacher Workshops that incorporate both live and recorded sessions. Additional services include "in person" Certified Teacher Leader Retreats, Principal/Executive Leadership Retreats, Family Retreats and Advanced Student Leadership Programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
: to meet BPW’s national expansion first year gross sales goal of $300K, and goal of tripling sales in Year 2
: to create a successful annual marketing campaign, identifying national educational conferences to present at, and targeting school districts and resources to expand BPW’s presence nationally outside of our current markets
: to utilize BPW’s website, social media platforms as marketing tools, obtain emailing lists and expand BPW’s contacts and resources, & maximize current contacts and business partners
: to collaborate with CEO and trainers to write and submit conference proposals for BPW to: be the main speaker/presenter; conduct in person and online presentations; and have a vendor table, with the goal of signing up schools to purchase our services or setting up meetings with school administrators interested in purchasing BPW’s services.
: to attend and experience BPW trainings in order to become knowledgeable of our services and to be able to discuss how our services meet specific SEL (Social Emotional Learning) needs in the schools community.
: to create meetings with school Superintendents and Principals to market BPW’s services and obtain contracts, and schedule meetings with CEO as needed
: to collaborate with management team to create marketing materials targeting various educational audiences
: to establish long term partnerships with customers who become our “vision partners” i.e. by checking in throughout the term of the contract, and working with them each school year to expand services and supports to deepen our impact in their schools. In Year 2 services include renewing subscription to our online Learning Community and collaborating with the BPW national team to ensure access is granted.
: to evaluate customer satisfaction regarding services provided with BPW’s management team, and assess customer satisfaction at each stage of service completion; collaborate creating the survey, distribute to customers, analyze results and discuss with management team. Use feedback in discussion with school administrators when creating a plan/contract for additional services
: to sell and coordinate mailing of BPW materials that support teachers in the classroom eg posters, exercise cards, books
: to work with our Accounting Dept. to identify the payment procedure in different states; process Purchase Orders; and submit invoices for payment
: to be an ongoing support for customers regarding their questions, concerns, and suggestions
: to market and sell BPW materials and merchandise, and collaborate with Operations Manager regarding mailing items to customers, and with Accounting Team to invoice and receive payment
: to provide Daily and Monthly Reports to CEO outlining goals and progress; meet weekly to review monthly goals, progress and obstacles to achieving them and identify strategies to achieving revenue goals.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Strong presentation, communication, sales, marketing and account management skills
Proven track record of meeting & exceeding employer's sales & income goals within specified timeframes
Ability to identify, research, and source new national customers in the field of education & significantly expand BPW's customer base
Strong collaboration and networking skills
Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills, and a track record of maintaining long term relationships with customers
Experience using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales
Strong analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns
Ability to design, evaluate and implement a successful sales strategy
Planning, organization and problem-solving skills & ability to identify creative solutions to challenges that arise
Advanced time management skills
SALARY/COMPENSATION
This position includes a base salary of $60K + commission.
QUALIFICATIONS
: Bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing or business management preferred. However, a candidate with related experience and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals will take priority over a degree.
: 3 to 5 years sales, marketing and account management experience with a proven track record of achieving sales quotas and goals. Experience marketing to a national audience, selling services versus products and any experience in the wellness or educational field is strongly preferred !
: experience in budgeting, planning and executing sales campaigns, and a track record of achieving revenue goals is required !
