Idaho Asphalt Supply, Inc. is a leading asphalt supplier and marketer in the Inland Northwest and Pacific Northwest Regions. With plants in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, California, and Arizona, IAS supplies a diverse product line of asphalts, polymer-modified asphalt, and asphalt emulsions to the road maintenance and construction industry. IAS is looking for an energized and flexible self-starter to fill a full-time opening for a Sales Associate in Woods Cross, UT.
This position develops new prospects and interacts with existing customers to increase sales of an organization's products and/or services. Works with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
Position Responsibilities (Under the supervision of the Regional Sales Manager):

• Research upcoming projects and submit strategic bid proposals.
• Conduct in depth market analyses to enhance our competitive advantage.
• Strategize short and long-term sales and marketing objectives to meet company objectives.
• Negotiate, prepare and manage purchase agreements.
• Conduct frequent customer visits.
• Resolve contractual customer problems and issues.
• Coordinate and solve customer issues through collaboration with other departments.
• Understand decision ramifications. (Inter-Departmental affects.)
• Provide knowledgeable technical support for customers.
• Enter and update contract information in the company ERP system.
• Research and provide contractual product specifications to our Technical Product and Operational groups.
• Assist in qualifying new and existing customer credit and account status.

Position Requirements: *

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering or 4 years experience in the asphalt industry.
• Knowledge of the Asphalt Sales function and department processes.
• Proficiency with computers and experience with the Microsoft Office group of programs.
• Possess a valid driver’s license without limitations.
• Possess the ability to work independently.
• Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
• Ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Proven record as a strong team player.
• Must be able to convey a positive company image of integrity and professionalism.
• Possess excellent customer service skills
