Safety Coordinator Job at Enterprise Precast Concrete
The Safety Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Plant safety program at the site-specific level assuring all required training, reporting, and documentation is completed while enforcing accountability for safety violations. Physically monitor all production processes on a daily basis to correct any safety violations or issues as they happen.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities :

- Conduct all OSHA and Company required safety training.
- Properly maintain all training documents and records to include dates and attendance records.
- Perform daily observations of all plant production to immediately correct any safety violations or issues.
- Facilitate quarterly safety committee meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
- Make recommendations to current Company safety program.
- Monitor accident trends and implement corrective actions or program changes to reduce accident frequency.
- Investigate and report all accidents, near misses and observations.
- Partner with Corporate Safety Team on all issues relating to the Company safety program.
- Create a positive safety culture.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Excellent Communication Skills both verbally and in written form.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure and operating manuals and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to write routine and complex reports and develop and analyze statistical data of finished and unfinished projects.
- Upholds and supports organizational goals and values.
Education / Experience / Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Construction Management or related field
- Bilingual is highly preferred for this role
- Plus, a minimum 2-years’ experience in an onsite-safety compliance role.
- OSHA 30 Required
- OSHA 510 or 511 is preferred

Safety Coordinator’s may his for long periods of time and require extensive computer use.
- The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- The noise level is typically quiet while working in the office can be loud when in the plant. Temperatures at times can be extremely hot and/or cold when in the plant / yard facility.
