SUMMARY
This role is a great opportunity to join an exciting AI company at the early commercialization stage and play a formative role in the adoption of Blaize AI solutions driving the future of AI at the Edge, a multi-billion-dollar market opportunity. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Development and Sales, this is a key position responsible for driving sales of Blaize’s transformative SaaS AI platform that both displaces legacy offerings and opens doors to previously unfeasible AI inferencing edge use cases with large-scale customer advantages.
The SaaS Sales and Business Development position will draw on firsthand knowledge of customers and ecosystems to propel pipeline development of use cases that support revenue growth. Compensation is structured with a significant variable upside. Candidates should bring experience and skills in developing initial pipelines for early-stage revenue companies while managing sales processes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build a robust opportunity pipeline and establish long-term business relationships with partners and customers with strategic relevance to Blaize’s software products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable customer success for an optimal time to revenue.
  • Manage customer expectations for a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Expand and leverage customer ecosystem relationships in the edge computing market.
  • Build effective relationships with industry-specific partners, channels, and distributors.
  • Establish processes to drive effective joint business planning and execution with partners.
  • Manage monthly forecasting, sales opportunities, and account business plans.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of business development and software sales experience.
  • Hands-on experience selling AI SaaS both direct and via partner ecosystems.
  • A passion for AI software at the Edge and disruptive technology.
  • Strong experience and knowledge of use cases in end markets such as retail, security, and smart city.
  • Proven track record of successfully growing and exceeding revenue targets for new industry solutions.
  • Experience with pricing strategies and channel economics.
  • Experience with creating alliances and driving deal negotiations.
  • Able to demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness in closing deals.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
SALARY RANGE
  • $126,000 - $180,000 yearly (location depending)
