RSVP Coordinator Job at Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency
Responsible for serving community needs by developing, planning, and providing volunteer service opportunities. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sites.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human services/related field or a combination of experience and education. Experience in the fields of aging and volunteerism. Regularly travels the service area. Computer literate. Microsoft Office software and other applicable systems.
Needed Attributes: Self-starter with strong communication, organizational, management, instructional and supervisory skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Ability to work with diverse groups of people from a variety of backgrounds.
Essential Functions:
- Assumes leadership at the request of and in the absence of the RSVP Manager
- Assists with program development, implementation, and evaluation
- Designs, coordinates, and evaluates special projects
- Prepares required reports
- Recruits, places, supervises, trains, and evaluates volunteers
- Serves as a mentor to area coordinators in effective volunteer management
- Serves as first point of contact with volunteer placement sites/staff
- Maintains a regular schedule of site visits
- Organizes formal recognition of volunteers and support agencies
- Develops and maintains working relationships with community organizations and agencies
- Serves as a liaison between volunteers and placement organizations
- Develops and implements public relations and marketing plans
